LSU paid parking lots being oversold?

I was talking to the Lofton security person who was working Lot 404 (Old Lot D).
She told me that during her training that she was told that if the lot was full to direct people to the free lots.
I told her she had to be mistaken. But then I started thinking maybe LSU does oversell the lots like airlines oversell flights. Lot 404 is one of the non-reserved lots, you park where you find a spot.
Anyone ever hear of someone having an LSU parking pass and not being allowed in a lot where they have paid for parking?

LSU absolutely oversells parking passes

I'd be some sort of PO'd if I paid for a pass and was sent to BFE.

It has got worse each of the last 3 years. Lot 406 fills up much faster. Over-selling reserve spots for people who pay TAF fees and parking fees to get their spot is unethical.

LSU should have an idea of how many parking spots are in the unreserved paid lots (404, 406, etc.)
It is very unethical to oversell.

I don't think Lot W was full at any time yesterday.

Unless they've modified it post-rennovation, LSU was selling tickets to non-existent seats in the South Endzone.

Yep, if you happen to see a ticket with an asterisk, thats exactly what they did.

We had 6 tix to an isle area. 4 did not have asterisks. The other 2 with the asterisks had the same row, same seat number.

You have duplicate season tickets in the SEZ?

It happened to our group for the McNeese game in 2010 (first time sitting away from North endzone).
The LSU usher tried to get us to move over. We replied we are sitting in our seats, maybe they should help the person find theirs; if they could.

I park in 404. The lot is never full. They could get away with overselling it and never have a problem. Now on the off chance that I pull in & they tell me it's full....we gon have a problem

I would hope there is some procedure in place to refund at least the parking pass cost for that one game if you get redirected.
Especially if they aren't going to even try to find an opening somewhere else.

East side. Not my season tix. Just used them last night. And didn't even pay so I'm not complaining. Just noticed the asterisk and thought that was odd.

I don't think any of the lots were full yesterday (well maybe the free lots)...
I just want to know if anyone buying a parking pass from LSU in a lot with non-reserved spaces has ever been turned away?

Yes, I have been sent to an "overflow" lot before. LSU oversells in our lot or the ticket takers aren't doing their job. One of the two.
