Season 4 Extended Recap
FWIW, Season 4 was in 1924 so there's a 7 year time jump to Season 5.

Episode Synopsis: Season 5 opens in 1931 with Nucky in Cuba, where he presses a U.S. senator on the likelihood of Prohibition's repeal and eyes a future business deal with a rum magnate. Meanwhile, Margaret witnesses a casualty of the Great Depression on Wall Street; Luciano makes a bold career move; Chalky catches a break to get out of a bad situation; and in a flashback to 1884, a young Nucky makes an impression on the Commodore.

One of the best scenes from this whole series. And I hate HBO for force feeding us with 8 episodes, hardly a fitting exit for such a great show. At least they didn't pull a Deadwood with it.

It's pretty ridiculous. I hate that the show is ending period, but have to agree that it should've at least been given a full last season.

So no more Rothstein? Well, shite.
Other than that, my body is ready.

It's ending at the right time. Been proven again and again the best shows go 5 seasons. Don't want to go all Dexter.

Yep, it's pretty stupid. I wonder if they'll at least have some flashbacks to his demise. Nothing surprises me with HBO anymore though. They'll probably act like he never existed.

Such a travesty that this was cancelled

Still can't believe Jimmy's mom made it to the last season.

Why was Chalky in prison? I can't remember

Thank you Belle. I was trying to think of the answer to Jax' question and couldn't "remember".

Yeah I'm assuming it's from blowback from the stuff that went down in AC with Narcisse.
RIP Joe Mass
RIP Joe Mass

I was thinking that it involved the death of his daughter when Harrow missed Narcisse.
The whacking of Joe Mass had "Godfather" overtones.
