Have to be careful with these big hot natured dogs. I've got mine lean as can be right now. Ran him 1.5 miles yesterday afternoon at 20 mph the whole way. He did not struggle.

Agree 100% bud. I debated on whether to take him or not. I knew if the action got too fast I could always sit him and let him blow a little while to cool off between retrieves. Always been super paranoid about overheating one once I saw a lab my buddy owned die on him on a dove hunt fromt he heat. Guess the guy had it coming. Me and a couple other guys kept telling him to let the dog rest, but he wouldn't listen. He finally stopped once his grandpa walked up and saw what was taking place. I thought the old man was going to whip his arse right there. Unfortunately the dog never made it outta the field

I wish. I've never been, but I always wanted to. Must have been pretty hot out there though. I'm hoping it cools off a little before Saturday for teal season

Went with my dad yesterday. We both had a limit quickly. And that's with my lousy shooting.
