Why was it cancelled? Cancelled way too soon in my opinion. I thought despite the show being a walking cliche it was really good. Kinda so-so on the finale though. Idris Elba is a badass motherfricker.

British shows are weird with scheduling. It can be 2 to 3 years between series sometimes. 
Heck, even more time went between seasons at the end of the Vicar of Dibley.

I love Luther but that would be a mistake IMO. They ended it fine. Great series.

I thought I read they were scripting a movie that would take place before the series...so a prequel of sorts
