But they still haven't won anything and won't help a lot til they do.

They've been winning games with guys we turned away in Claiborne and Golden. Now they will be getting the best defensive players in Texas for the foreseeable future. LSU needs UT to at least put up a fight over there.

we should go hard after vahe right away. his cousin, teuhma had 2 sacks. it almost certainty gift wraps 1 of the 3 2016 safetys to us and maybe one of the top 100 dts. it will help us on defense.

A&M is the only Texas team that is any good these days.

Well, that is certainly the perception of the general public, and it's why I'm rooting for Baylor to win the Big 12 and make the playoff. If A&M is the only good Texas team, they will consistently pull top 3 recruiting classes.

Both players I mentioned did. That's my point. They were able to win some games with two wannabe kingpins who didn't get LSU offers, now they're going to have legit talent at those spots. Things would be better for LSU if UT could keep taking their share of defensive players while struggling on offense, aTm gets the offensive players and struggles on defense, and LSU steals two or three of the top guys a year. Right now aTm is just raking the state, and getting OOS talent due to their image and facilities.

Agree with Notright's stance. I'm no fan of Texas at all but we need them to be good to hurt TAM. They can take 15 from TAM while we would only take 1-2 which we likely take anyway. It helps OOS schools other than us more. Schools like Bama, UF, UGA , Auburn etc. We always have and always will have a presence in Texas

We didn't exactly turn Golden down. Dude was a top 100 player and was committed to A&M for over a year before he signed.

I like seeing Texas suck. I LOVED watching BYU beat their asses.

Texas is a divided state, there will be plenty of good players that would never play for the aggies for family reasons and childhood rooting interests.

If UT sucking drives talent to A&M first and LSU second, then in a 13 game season LSU will have one harder opponent and 12 easier ones. More talent at LSU is a good thing, even if it means way more talent for the aggies.

It really favors OU. Check out their roster. Nearly 50% of their roster is from Texas.

It won't matter who A&M recruits until their coaching staff learns how to coach defense.

Yeah, A+M will take advantage of Texas slump but I agree with the guy who mentioned OU befitting from this.

I am honestly torn though because I know that those one or two guys a year that we pull away from Texas are usually top caliber players. That alone makes me want them to stay in their slump. Let the faggies get some players. When they fail to break the top two on the SEC West the players will stop believing the hype and the universe will balance out once again.

The net effect is much worse.

I'm not sure about this, I think we get more kids from Texas and are better as a team, and if the aggies fill up with Tx recruits then they won't be trying to come in and poach the talent in LA.

We need UT to turn things around. aTm is going to continue to pull absurd classes until they do. I live in Austin so I support the longhorns as the local team, but more so because of my interest in LSUs success. We don't need two bamas to compete with in our division. One is tough enough.

I agree with this to a certain extent, but I'm more concerned that if UT starts getting more there, that A$M will be in our state even more. I hate that Noil is there and Merritt and LeFlore likely to be.

How about we keep all the LA players in state before we worry about more of a Texas haul.

They will be going after our best guys regardless.
