What area has Cam made the biggest impact?

My vote would be the reduction of dropped passes...
Two years ago pre-Cam our WRs dropped tons of passes (except Jarvis Landry)...
I am not sure if it's putting the receivers in better positions or QB play, but our WR seem to drop a lot fewer passes than we use to...

He improved Mett a ton. The jury is still out on what he's done with AJ and Harris.
I'm a bit perplexed as to why UGA and TAMU can plug in first year starters and not miss a beat, but we have to keep the training wheels on. I expected more to be honest.

For UGA guys like Stafford and Murray took a lot of lumps during their time as a 1st year starter. For aTm, it's the system. We'll see if Kenny Hill becomes the next QB in the NFL to say that he never had a playbook in college.

The offense was excessively complicated under Crowton and Cam did a good job of keeping it relatively simple. Also has had a huge impact in just teaching the QB position in everything from footwork to how to break down tape properly, what to look for, etc. Good play-calling too. And he's a HUGE recruiting tool.

If LSU went four wide and started throwing 60 times a game, AJ would look a lot better to the untrained. He'd complete 60% of his passes for 300 yards. The problem with those offenses is that they are feast or famine. Also, they wear your defense down because they are always either going three and out or scoring quickly. They're shiny, though.

i remember watching a game last year and someone broke down out passing routes and showed how they sprung one wr of another depending on what the defense did, but they had to leave one either in single coverage or open.
Before last year, i haven't seen anyone even try and break down out shitty plays for since 2007

I remember reading that Cam immediately elevated the intensity at practice to match that of the defense. This was a huge difference maker.
As for what is the biggest difference on the field??
Communicating and getting plays in quickly and getting the offense to execute them properly and at a fast pace.
The passing game is the obvious answer... or maybe I should just say QB play. This season will totally prove to us all that he is that home run hire that Les needed to keep the Tigers in the NC hunt every year from now on.

Regarding TAMU, IMO it's the Air Raid system thing. Look at Sumlim's QBs at Houston. JFF wasn't going to be that kind of QB because of his unique skills, but that's the anomaly with Sumlin's QBs. He has guys set records in his system, and Hill will too. It's a bunch of short passes to wide open guys in space. I could complete 60% in that system. But there's certain teams that will shut that shyt down, and I think we're one of them with Chavis. They'll get their yards, but yards don't put points on the board.
I think (hope) they'll beat Alabama pretty good. Saban's bigger defense can't defend them for a whole game.

And regarding the training wheels comment, Kenny Hill won't be NEARLY as prepared for the league as Mett is and AJ/Harris will be. Those aren't training wheels you see. HILL is the one on training wheels, and he'll never learn to ride a two wheel bike in Sumlin's system. Where's Case Keenum playing these days? He was on the Texans practice squad. Maybe with the injury to Bradford, he'll get to hold a clipboard in St. Louis now that he's there. But he'll never be a successful NFL QB because he wore training wheels all through college under Sumlin.

Our general offensive philosophy. We are now a team that wants to throw downfield in order to open up the run.
Kragthorpe/Stud were played more of a conservative style. Lots of quick passes to keep the D honest but primary a run-driven offense. Crowton was all over the place, and at times just gimmicky. And Jimbo's offense basically relied on superior athleticism rather than a quality scheme.
