Question about popups in different countries

Chicken,
Long time member, first time serious help board poster.
I used to never get popups on this great site. Now that I have moved to Europe, i get some random popup ads and whatnot (nothing with sound, though). I am using the same tablet I have always used which is why I am confused.
Does your code have specific blocks on popups that maybe don't work in other countries?
