I got laughed off the Poli board for suggestion that this was an option that Goodell wouldn't take off the table.

Whoever Dallas cut to make room should file a discrimination lawsuit

Hey Roger, forget about that phone call to Adrian Peterson and I'll sign Michael Sam.

The other players cut around the league could have a legit gripe. Why would the NFL not make calls on their behalf?

too bad so sad IDGAF

again, he produced better in his preseason games than the entire Cows d-line so I have zero problem with him getting a shot in Dallas.

Special Class

Gays don't want equal rights, they want exceptions. Football has nothing to do with being gay or straight. Sam isn't the first gay football player. He is just the only one putting it front and center. ESPN and the rest of the media are playing a game that has nothing to do with performance on the field which is what the job is all about. Nobody cares that he is gay, but who wants the media circus surrounding Sam?

If the NFL is calling around on his behalf them shame on them. They have turned into a clowns league.

You think the NFL should shop him around the league because he is gay?? Legit question.

On one hand, it is ridiculous.

On the other hand, sounds like the NFL was trying to avoid a PR issue, which makes sense.

But obviously the better course of action would be the NFL, the most popular thing on earth, to say "well he didn't make a squad, likely because he's not that good."
