These two crazy Russian guys break into construction sites at night and climb to the very top of the structures. This is Shanghai Tower, the second tallest building in the world at over 2,000 ft. Not only do they go to the top of the building, they climb up the sky crane at the very top. My nuts almost went up inside my body watching this.

I've stayed in the hotel that you can see on the left at the bottom. It is like 100 stories tall. The building they are putting up is a beast.

Hard to tell from the camera - is that ascent on the grated metal completely vertical or is it at an angle? And do workers make this climb every day?

I don't think the crane arm is completely vertical but at a rather high angle...perhaps 100 degrees? A crane operator climbs to the crane and sits in the control room but I don't think anyone climbs out and up the crane arm up there.

How many of these people have died? I believe there quite a few Russians that engage in this.

If you fall from 100ft you will die. If you fall from 2000ft, you will still die, but you will get to live longer while you are falling.

I'm most impressed with the climb itself. That's a lot of stairs and ladders. One guy does it without gloves.

The real bitch of it is that getting back down is the hard part.

Just looking at tall buildings gives me a little anxiety. Watching that was pretty wild.

Holy Christ!

That was crazy. Dudes were up at the top (turn down block?) of that boom and he stood with no fall arrest or anything.

Nuts.

Also liked the loose grate the guy was shaking...
