Need a bike lock and have no clue what type or what works best.

Went to Amazon, but CAD has ruined the review sections for me.

U-lock and cable. You can probably find a nice Kryptonite for ~$40

It all depends on where you will be locking it. If it is a safe area then you won't need a heavy duty lock. If you are in a metro area, then get a heavy duty ulock and cable. I guess it would also depend on the value of your bike.

I didn't need a heavy duty lock when I ordered one recently so I went with this one. I have been very happy with it so far.

Kyrptonite evolution mini 5. Small enough to fit in your back pocket. Had mine over a year and locked it in super sketchy places in Nola. Never a problem.
