Well, Hulu is not really ideal if you prefer movies. It's mostly useful to catch new episodes of TV shows if you don't have cable. I think it has maybe a few hundred movies, while netflix instant and Amazon Prime each have over 10,000. No idea what the overlap is between the two, though. And I'm not sure which of the two has more movies available. Netflix used to overshadow Amazon in that department, but what I'm turning up in searches right now seems to suggest Amazon is in the lead.

Well netflix and Amazon prime will likely have most if the movies you want to watch. Prime also gives you various options to build digital credit to rent movies that aren't offered for free yet.

If you dig classic movies and current tv, hulu is great.
Amazon prime just got most old hbo shows and has a good mix of recent tv shows and movies.

Amazon Prime. But check the library. You subscribe to Netflix and may not be gaining much by adding it. Related: if you're happy with Netflix, generally, and are adding a service, consider using Amazon Prime or iTunes to rent or purchase movies you want to see (instead of finding a redbox) rather than adding a second subscription.

That said, I'm a Netflix and Amazon prime subscriber.

Go with Amazon Prime. Bonus is free shipping on like a billion items from Amazon.

Amazon Prime and NetFlix are comparable, Hulu Plus is a completely different animal as it's focus is on current TV. You have to watch commercials and it often only has the 5 most recent episodes of the current season. It's pretty much only useful if you're a cord cutter, if you have cable then you will hardly ever use Hulu Plus.

If I had to choose between NetFlix and Amazon just for streaming, I'd choose NetFlix because of the superior interface. But it's a toss up that will be decided by which exclusives interest you more and whether you buy stuff from Amazon and can take advantage of the free shipping.

As I said, the libraries are comparable, there's a lot of overlap and probably a similar amount and quality of exclusives. NetFlix is going to have it's original content (House of Cards, Orange is the New Black) and some exclusive deals like the one with DreamWorks kids movies. Amazon seems to have better deals with SyFy, USA, and British shows, so you have better or exclusive access to things like Downton Abbey, Suits and Orphan Black. They also have the deal with HBO that gets you access to older shows like the Sopranos, Six Feet Under, and older seasons of current shows like True Blood.

Prime has close to what Netflix has but has HBO series. Hulu is hit or miss with me. I have all of them and use Hulu the least. It gets used a lot more if you don't have regular TV.
