So much for him getting rid of kids that weren't going to play anyway. Dude isn't playing around.

I think this has a strong possibility of backfiring and blowing up in Strong's face. The way he runs things could be a deterrent in the future to potential prospects. A lot of these guys are local superstars who are just using college as a stepping stone to the NFL because they have to. In theory, it's a good leadership mentality, but when you deal with the turnover and situations of college ball, I don't think it makes for a good recipe.

I think this form of leadership would work much better in a high school or NFL setting.

I don't like what it means for THIS season, but I love Strong's take no shite attitude and what it likely means for the future.

For this season our O-line is just screwed. Between injuries and purging we'll be without our starting QB, Center, and 2 best offensive tackles.

Strong knows he doesn't have to get to 53 players, right?

Gotta admire how Strong is running the program.

Will it make some prospects avoid him because he's too strict?

Yep. And that's good. You don't want the guys who think like that.

It's a good thing that our big in state rival isn't full of jail house ballers, our main rival doesn't go out of the way to get character risks on the team, and the state of Texas isn't overrun with recruiters from the dirtiest sports conference of all time. If that was the case, then being this strict just might have a negative affect on us.

That's funny because not a single Texas player got drafted this year.

Not one.

Texas has been full of entitled 5 stats who never panned out bc they thought they were hot shite and didn't follow the rules.

If Texas commits to strong for a couple of mediocre seasons, they will be elite once again once he recruits the kids he wants

Are they going to have enough players left at the end of the season to field a squad?

So much for being bowl eligible if you lack enough players to participate.
