16 year old from Lafayette gets life in prison for killing Pineville woman

Article doesn't go into a lot of detail about the murder. Comments are very entertaining and getting heated, and includes a comment by the boy's mother blaming the court system, as well as subtly threatening other commenters. Naturally a bunch of coonasses can't resist opening their big mouths:

The Acadiana Advocate reports that Damari Jennings, 16, of Lafayette, was convicted of second-degree murder after pleading guilty to shooting and killing 51-year-old Connie Burch of Pinevhille.
According to The Advocate, Burch's body was found on a sidewalk near a coulee bridge in the 1100 block of Madeline Street in the early morning hours of Aug. 15, 2013.
Jennings was indicted for first-degree murder in September 2013, but a plea deal resulted in the lesser charge.
The Advocate reports that Jennings is eligible for a hearing to determine whether he will get parole.
