What size ice chest will hold 100# of shrimp?

My buddy is head out shrimping tonight and come back to the dock by friday. My dad and uncle wants 100# shrimp each. I'm wanting 100# for myself. Trying to figure out how many ice chest in need to bring.

Just dump them in the bed of truck.

Put a Yeti on top.

Yea, that would be one hell of roadie.

My friend said 1 quart per pound and that includes the ice. Does that sounds right?

A 5 gallon bucket holds 25 pounds

You should be able to do the math from there.

Seems we have used a 120 for around 100 pounds, so I would guess 3 120s?

Got 20lbs of jumbo's this past weekend and fit it all in a 20qt Yeti.

So the 1lb per 1qt rule should be accurate.

yea but the op will need ice if he dosen't have a yeti.

This if you don't have far to go and able to dehead them soon. Get a extra 48 qt chest just for ice incase you have road trouble.
