The more be-headings, the greater the public pressure for the U.S. and European allies to take action against them.

I understand that they hate the west and want to kill as many westerners as possible by luring is into a war. But from a practical standpoint: how are they going to set up an Islamic state if they're completely isolated and under constant attack? If we go to war with them we're going to destroy their infrastructure, oil fields (no more $1 million/day revenue), supply lines....It's not exactly a brilliant move if you're trying to establish a Caliphate between Syria and Iraq. If they would just lay low, they might actually accomplish their goal of a new state given how war weary we are.

It seems counter-productive to me. Thoughts?

They must think they are winning and are pressing their advantage.

They are not very smart.

They know any further involvement by the US/Allies in the region will only further enrage other like minded Islamic wackos, further emboldening their cause.

Plus, those dumbasses think they have a free pass to their paradise/virgins so they prolly DGAF.

They can't lay low and recruit. This is recruiting material.

There is just no contemplating the horror being imposed on the remaining hostages, particularly the females.

They know they don't have the men/weapons/support to sustain a long drawn out war. Instead they use fear/imtimidation tactics to weaken their enemies, increase and secure their gains.
Might also just be that they are crazy islamic jihadists.

I think they are trying to pick a fight and if the U.S. goes back in they are going to scatter and go back to guerrilla warfare.

Some would say they are just pawns of big oil and big biz.
Hired to push for more war more weapon sales and higher oil price.

I personally can't tell what the hell they are doing. Seem to be happy just blowing sh!t up.

Who have managed to raise 100s of millions of dollars and know how to use the Internet. Yep, unorganized barbarians. Yep.

I read an article a while back that Assad is enabling ISIS to make himself look like a reasonable alternative.

This is the key. They feel in their hearts that it's a win win situation for them. Stay alive and kill infidels, or die and get the 72 virgins.

I believe much of their money came from a central bank in Iraq that they captured.

Because when we attack them they use it as a recruiting tool, remember?

Our "LEADERSHIP" will wait until about 2-3 weeks before mid-terms and then start dropping the hammer on ISIS...the message will be don't change the guard now...look we are doing something.

I believe ISIS is a Saudi funded terrorist group whose purpose is to lure the United States military into another war in the ME.

We did not bite on war with Syria last year, and we did not bite on the situation in Ukraine. This is plan C. The main purpose is to protect the Saudi's and World Bank's petrodollar, which is being threatened by BRICS and Gazprom.

This is true. He coordinated his airstrikes with ISIS to destroy rival rebel factions, thinking that if ISIS was the only one left that his regime would look more palatable by comparison to the Syrian people and that he could turn on ISIS to mop them up once he'd used them to eliminate all other opposition. Now, he's finding the former not to be as true as he hoped and the latter to be completely shot to hell.
