CBS on DirecTV - Channel 9, WAFB Baton Rouge

They finally stopped airing the channel this morning. Has someone tried calling and asked if and when they will resolve the issue with the local channel.
How do we get to see the football games that are broadcasted on that channel (Channel 9 CBS or WAFB in BR)?

Go to a store, buy an antenna, plug it into the back of DirecTV box, watch channel 9

Actually happened last night and I asked myself the same question! It's seems to happen with direct tv a lot

Is it both cbs and fox , I know here in Nola fox 8 is not on direc tv anymore ....
It sucks because that's the channel the saints come on .....

Go buy a $50 antenna from Walmart, best buy, etc. You can catch all local channels on HD.

What is the deal with these sattelite/local channel negotiations? Even when they make a deal it must be 1 year contracts. Why is this constantly going on? KPLC in Lake Charles and DirecTV are at it right now too.

Just a tip on buying an antenna.
It need not be expensive, but a word or warning if you want to pick up channel 9
HD Antenna don't work for channel 9
Rabbit ears will work.
Your antenna must be at least 30" long.

The newer Directv boxes dont have the ota tuner on the back. Learned that last night.

Raycom is asking for a much larger cut from DirecTV. Raycom owns all these smaller local stations. I've been a customer for 3+ years, and this is only the second time I've gone through a relevant dispute.

nothing new on it this week. nothing on the weekend but US Open Tennis.
Dolphins-Patriots Sunday, but it's a free NFL sunday ticket weekend.
There is nothing of importance on until 9/11, a thursday night football game and then that weekend's games and then two weeks later when new shows start new seasons
they'll get it back in a week or two.

I have the dtv antenna box they put out when they stopped putting ant in on their receivers. The downside its another box. The upside it put the antenna channels in the guide and I think the DVR would record from them. Weather would still shut it down though since it ran through the dtv software.
