Jennings... reminds me of Matt Mauck

I know I might get smashed for this, but Jennings for some reason reminds me of Matt Mauck.
Mauck wasn't real impressive. His first game experience was super exciting b/c he ran in 2 TD's and we won the SEC Championship. But he was only 5 for 15 passing in that game. Then, his next game (the following season) as the official out right starter, we got beat by Virginia Tech. Then won 5 straight and almost climbing back into the Top Ten before he got hurt. But during those 6 games he was an UNIMPRESSIVE 48% in his completions.
Of course, the following season (2003) he led us to the National Championship. On the season, he was at 64% of passes completed. But wasn't real impressive in the Natty. But we WON!
Overall, Jennings has looked unimpressive, but keeps finding a way to win. Keeps the play alive, throws it away if it's not there, can run a little, and seems to be good under pressure when the game is on the line. That's exactly the way I would describe Mauck to someone.... Well, and that he's wearing a National Championship ring. lol.
By the way, I was happy with Jennings play in the Wisky game and hope he keeps finding a way to WIN. I'd rather have the unimpressive 7th round draft pick QB's like Mauck/Flynn who win championships over losers who win Heisman Trophy's but can't even win their division in their conference. If Jennings is a Mauck type player than I'll take him. Just keep winning.

Mauck ran the ball occasionally.

You should get blasted for unnecessarily bringing race into this discussion.

Just say another Matt Mauck...

Jennings' styles are

He is very similar to Mauk now that you mention it, but the sample size is small. Lets give him more time before we call him a great game manager.

I figured I get "SMASHED" for comparing a national championship winning QB to a QB who has only won 2 games.
I guess the "race" thing could be taken by someone as maybe rude.... if so, I should edit. I guess I was just saying that when I'm watching him throw and run and looks like Matt Mauck to me.... but is black.... I don't know. I don't have race issues so I'm comfortable speaking like that when describing people.
If it's a problem, I'll edit title to "JENNINGS... REMINDS ME of MATT MAUCK"

Would probably be a good idea, because it's kind of uneccessary.

It's only a problem for sensitive people.

Is it safe to say Jennings will be a considerable step up than similary-styled QB's Marcus Randall and Jordan Jefferson?

Well, Jennings has a long way to go before he should be mentioned with Mauck. Mauck even when not completing passes could execute the offense. Jenning hasn't shown any signs of that. In fact he has looked like he can't execute it. You could tell Matt Mauck was a player from day one.

jennings didn't throw any interceptions against a ranked team though

Lets not forget that Jennings is a 19 year old kid while Mauck was a 23 year old with 2 full seasons under his belt before he was thrust into the starting role.

I agree with this post...both calmly get the job done...nothing flashy...
