Those angry skies...

quote:

(CNN) -- Another day, another fight about reclining seats on a U.S. airline flight.

In the third serious airline legroom incident in two weeks, an angry passenger caused yet another flight to divert Monday night.

Delta Air Lines Flight 2370 from New York's LaGuardia Airport to West Palm Beach, Florida, was rerouted to Jacksonville, Florida. A passenger became irate about the traveler in front of her trying to recline her seat, a fellow passenger told CNN affiliate WPTV.

"This woman who was sitting next to me knitting actually just tried reclining her seat back," passenger Aaron Klipin said. "The woman behind her started screaming and swearing and then a flight attendant came over and that just exacerbated what was going on and then she demanded that the flight land."

Delta confirmed the diversion.

I don't think these passengers realize the shite show they are putting themselves in when they pull these stunts.

I was leaving Vegas last year when a drunk kid and his girlfriend got on last minute after an obvious all night bender. About 30 minutes into the flight he got into with the guy in front of him and was basically being a dick. The flight attendants were running about and going up front which is when I realized they were going to divert. I leaned over and whispered real low, "Hey Dude, here is what is fixing to happen to you." And mentioned things like federal charges, being stuck in jail in some place other than his home city, lawyer costs, etc. He got real pale and chilled out before asking the Flight Attendant if everything would be OK if he just sat in his seat and didn't talk the rest of the flight.

We managed to make it to ATL without further incident. The thing is, I really didn't give a crap about this kid, I just wanted to get home.

Dude, that would be the end of flying for me. I am claustrophobic enough as it is in coach.

Agree. It's bad enough that my knees have to touch the seat in front of me. fricking being tall sucks sometimes.

I am 5'10" and 190 lbs. And I feel like I am crammed in. Cannot imagine what it is like for taller/bigger people.

I'm 6'3". Luckily I'm scrawny. I almost have to have the isle seat and just let one leg stick out alongside seat ahead of me if the flight is more than an hour.

i used to get an aisle seat so one knee could stick out in the aisle (i have freakishly long legs) and the flight attendant would come flying up with the drink cart & ram my knee.

i quickly learned an aisle seat was no better than any other one.

just dont go to sleep or you will be awakened in excruciating pain from being clipped by the drink cart.

Its not my leg they usually get, but my shoulder. I'm definitely sitting all sloppy just to get a few more inches, so I suppose its my fault.
