Upper deck - new expansion viewing experience?
Posted by DzNtz on 9/2/14 at 12:15 pm01
Anyone have any insight into how good/bad the view is from the new upper deck seats? I have some family coming in and they want tickets to the game but don't want to really pay the money for better seats. I'm trying to convince them to pay, but I wanted to know what they were in for if they end up siting there. For reference, I am talking about south upper 654 or thereabouts.
Thanks
Edit : its for Miss St game

Just go out to campus Saturday and you'll find much better seats for way less than face.

This is Section 654. Go to lsusports.net and Facilities and Tiger Stadium and 3D Seats and you can see the view from all Sections. I used to have Season Tickets in the South End Zone and this same view only lower but I could sit here and I like the view. I personally like higher vs. lower.

I like the attitude. I'm sure it can't be so bad as to ruin the game. Thanks guys.

Being that I enjoy seeing the overall movement on each play and enjoy analyzing schemes, I would sit there every game I had a chance to go to.
With that said, I sat in the upper corner of the lower bowl opposite the Arkansas fan section in '09, and those seats were cheap and fantastic.
I would say the only place I wouldn't sit would be first row in the end zones. Too much going on in front of where you'd prefer to be watching IMO.

I had Season Tickets in the South End Zone for a long time and enjoyed it. We had the Goal Line Stand against Notre Dame when I think Steve Rehage made the final tackle. It was so loud your whole body was vibrating.

dont let the snobs steer you away from the uppers. most of those people dont even go to the game. from a pure viewing experience as a fan of watching the game, the higher the better.
if you want to stalk cheerleaders and get a boner for things other than the game itself, then sit in the lower bowl.
the absolute worst seats in any stadium are the 1st 10 rows
