I figured since my thread on father/daughter date is such a hit, I figured I would start a thread on the other side.

I don't have boys, but if I did, i would do "Boys' night out", hit Hooters, catch a game, etc (I have gone to a LSU football and baseball game with just my oldest daughter (she is 10 now).

We will call it a bro-date, since he will be my bro.

Wrestling, root beer, and waitresses.

Mines not old enough to appreciate it yet, but he will.

Then it's going camping. Sitting around the fire grilling dinner in tinfoil.

my boy has baseball, soccer or football practice every night of the week.....then on weekends he has his games and tourneys.....we travel all summer for baseball games....we have a lot of "boy's night out" then when he's not playing sports we're at the camp hunting or fishing.

Boys will be fine.....it's your girls that need to special loving and attention from their daddys.

That's to reach him what happens to girls whose daddies didn't take them on dates, right?

I just don't get the whole thing with bringing a 10 year old to Hooter's/Twin Peaks.
Do you plan on hitting the strip clubs with your son when he hits 18?

Aren't strip clubs 21?

And there's nothing wrong with treating he dude to a guy themed establishment that objectifies women. He'll learn that from you anyway.

I have 4 boys and 2 girls. I take the boys out for a nice day where they can be free to do things their sisters don't enjoy. We'll go camping, hunting, fishing, hiking. Or I bring them to a football/baseball game.

I'll take the girls out for ice cream, or to the park, etc.

My wife does the same. We do this about once a month with each. However, the rest of the time, we do things as a whole family. But I feel that a boys day/night out is good for them. And my wife loves taking them out to get their clothes, see a movie, etc. So it's win-win.

I plan Mother/Son dates in which I chauffeur. Boys need to learn at a young age how to bear through a two hour date with a woman without putting their heads through a window.
