I think you can go redshirt and/or true.

Offense:

1.) Diarse
2.) Quinn
3.) fournette (outside of the last 2 carries he was near 5 ypc and had 25 yards per return)

Defense:

1.) Godchaux (he played a ton and was the only DL that stuck out to me besides Rasco all game).
2.) Adams (he showed good athleticism and understanding of the position)

Diarse was a man

Quinn never seemed to know which side to line up on. He'll be better once he gets everything down.

Pocic on offense. There should be no doubt here.

Quinn for Offensive honorable mention. He definitely has room for improvement in all phases but I just have to give him props for what he brought to the table in his first game. I think that once he really starts to block out the defender while he plays the ball he is going to be just as good as OBjr or Landry.

Gamble on special teams. Everyone knew that he was going to be a super strong leg man for us and he is exactly that from day 1.

Godchaux on defense and overall freshman arse kicker of the week. He played serious snaps and had many issues against a very worthy opponent but still could be said to improve over the coarse of that one game. This guy will benefit greatly from playing in this game for his first one. It will set the stage for the rest of the season.

Shout out to LF for jumping straight into a game against a very challenging opponent that keyed in on him immediately. He definately showed "Les Chest" and will continue to show greater chest by attacking the holes harder as the season progresses IMO.

Quinn looked like a big play magnet. He will be explosive.

Diarse looked like the second coming of Early Doucet with his build. Excited about that kid.

please stop

Every high profile recruit and running back for that matter is "key'd on"... People need to quit saying that. You don't think. Hilliard was being "key'd on" in the 4th?

The kid is going to be fun to watch but let's watch him grow and win us games as a tiger. Quit talking him up, then being disappointed when he isn't that great on kickoff returns, then make excuses that he was key'd on, then blow him because he did XYZ in practice.....

No, I don't, which is why he was successful. We opened up the offense and were crushing them through the air

KH averaged 2.4 ypc through the first 3 quarters and 9 in the 4th. LF averaged 3 carries through the first 3 quarters. AD wouldn't have had success with the offense through the first 3 quarters.

Crazy what a little passing success can do for a running game

Well... Considering Pocic is a sophomore, there should be some doubt.

Im just gonna go with true freshman... Quinn and Godchaux. Quinn just looked so comfortable out there and never was overwhelmed. Impressive.

Godchaux is going to be a great player at LSU. True freshman with that kinda build already. He's 300lbs and is built like a brick house.

Obviously Diarse was great.

I am not sure what made you think that I shouldn't have given Leonard a honorable mention shout out for his play in the game.

Whatever putz

Did we ever run any PA with LF in the backfield? I know AJ kept it on a couple of zone reads (that were blown up)but I don't remember seeing any play action.

No knock on the guy, he'll make a great tackle some day. But...

A) He isn't a freshman at all. Not even a RS Freshman.

B) He isn't a center at all. Porter's absence was the most difficult to overcome.

I'm leaning towards Godchaux, given the difficulty of playing that position against those offensive lineman. He really looked like he was holding his own in there.
