I know it's been around for awhile, but I just played for the first time last night. I quite enjoyed it and am thinking about purchasing a game set. I see some nice ones on eBay, but the price ranges are pretty wide. Any suggestions or advice from the knowledgeable?

I made a set a couple of years ago and ordered the bags online. For the boards, I used the plans that called for 3/4" plywood instead of 1/2". The cheap flimsy boards cause bounce in your bags instead of slide.

I kinda like this one

Baggo version. Are the non-wooden boards lacking in durability?

I've heard that Cornhole is damn popular in Key West. Maybe you could visit there for some tips. Warning, the tips will probably come with a shaft too.

Seriously, that is a game with a serious marketing problem.

Yeah, the name is pretty unfortunate.

Don't buy plastic.

Must be 3/4" ply to function properly. Look on Craigslist for some DIY guy who makes them

Look on CL is the correct answer.

You'll find someone local that makes good boards for a good price.

Agree on no plastic. Go all out for one. Get/make proper bags. Don't leave boards/bags out in the rain. Always play to 21 exact. Games to 21+ are amateur hour. Happy throwing.

Yes, no plastic. And rough the paint up a touch with sandpaper or you'll have bags that won't stick unless you throw really high and soft.

All you guys saying no plastic, what's the big drawback? Seems that it would be more durable and last longer than wood. Also, much lighter in transport. Baggo has a lifetime warranty.

The bags slide off the plastic every time.

Agreed. Plastic slides way too much. Also, if you are going to use 3/4" plywood like I did, you have to rip the 2x4s to account for the height difference.

Also...with good polycrilic on top of your paint/logos, it will last forever.
