I wasn't until now. Miss St has had me worried all offseason. I thought Wisconsin would be a blowout win, but now the coaches and players know what they need to improve. Gives us as fans some time to break in our tailgating, and make us hungry for a real game.

Just saying that my jimmies are no longer rustled due to weak home schedule.

Screw scheduling teams like SHSU.

Need to open up the offense so Jennings can get some more confidence... he did fine in the second half when the playcalling wasn't so predictable.

Working out of the I formation constantly sucks. Change things up with some different formations. Make the defense guess for a change.

Only if they let the QBs throw the ball early in the series. If we come out in the power I 75% of the time then these 2 games will be a waste.

OPen up the offense? I think 70% of our passes were more than 10 yards down the field...how much more open can we get it?

Should really help our SOS. This year's home schedule sucks except for one or two games.

Absolutely. The BCS conferences (or whatever they're called these days) should be prohibited from playing cupcakes, period. But I know that will never happen. Having said this, I guess SHS is as good as any other cupcake opponent, one that gives us a chance to play a lot of players and get ready for more important games.

The downside: ask Michigan, that lost to App. St., or Florida, that lost to Georgia Southern (or some team like them) last season. Hell, we've had our own near losses to vastly inferior teams. If you thrash a cupcake no one gives a shite, but if you lose, your season is over and the humiliation stings.

I just hope the Tigers:
• Put the next 2 games to good use in preparing for SEC play
• Win both games

Use these games to try get Desean Smith some catches. Looked he he was practicing batting the ball down on a hailmary at the goalline

I'd extend it and say the next 4 weeks should be a breeze. The next tough game isn't until probably Auburn on October 4th.

Times to get these young guys in rhythms. I expect brandon harris to have a full quarter so if needed to go he wont have the jitters we saw. Fournette to get 15 touches in both games, and have adams, dupre and paris out there for the experience. Apparently garret isnt ready. Godchaux will end up being the steal of the class I think!

DeSean Smith

That was rough... to go from making one handed catches against double coverage in highschool to slapping the ball away while wide open. I just chalked it up to first game nerves, but you gotta make that catch; TEs rarely get an opportunity in LSU's offense and they screwed up both times.
