haven't seen his name mentioned much, but he was lock-down last night. I think he is a better Ron Brooks

Both Nickel backs
Both #13

Brooks made more of a mark on ST, where as DT is better in coverage

Yeah but that pick Mills had was dirt nasty. I'd love to see the gif..

Thomas was on the hip of every WR he covered. It's amazing how deep the CBs are. Very interchangeable.

I love our secondary. Chavis should be able to show many different looks. We play the run better than last game and we could be special on D

He would have started on the 2011 defense.

Mills has looked great at S but I don't see him starting over Mo, Tyrann, Reid, or Brandon Taylor.

On the TE wheel route saw 48 release and I said oh no

How many times have we been burned by RB and TE Wheel routes?

Heath Evans flashbacks

Then I saw jalen adjust and it went from oh no to oh my god YES!

what a great play

Not sure how or where they find a place to put him, but DT needs to be on the field more. He's a playmaker out there and always seems to be in the right place at the right time. He's got a knack for it.

Simon and Brooks were balling backups in 2011 as well.

No questions the DBs played great the first game, both Jalens, White, Thomas especially and Martin and Adams were not bad either. Badgers were the perfect game for RR to miss because they had very limited skill at WR.

I will caution it will not look as easy when we play against formidable WRs.

Mills made a great play on that int, but if the QB had made a decent throw, and led the receiver to the sideline, he would have been wide open.

He's also a quality tackler; we need that piece. I know also that he's going to fight like heck for victory.

Although I still need to look at the replays, I think that the biggest thing that stacked the cards in our favor was that Wiscy started to bring in extra WRs. This is when DBU started to throw down in H-Town.

It is kinda hard to believe that LSU had a dozen DBs on their roster that night that were all better than that smacker freshman who started at safety for them.

Once we started to pin our ears back up front with the DBs locking down anyone and everyone who tried to run a route in the second half, LSU's defense looked like the well oiled machine that we've come to know and love.

Props out to DT! He is a big reason why DBU is alive and kicking.
