I agree. When liquor stores have to go through the state store so that they make sure they get their cut, it isn't a good thing.

Been studying a lot about this lately. Over half of the entire cost of a bottle of liquor in the state of Alabama is from taxes.

But, it's also a trade-off in a sense. I live close the the TN border. Liquor is cheaper in TN, but beer is much cheaper in AL.

No. But they are closed on Sunday. So you've got to buy it at a private store who can only buy it from the state.
