WNBA Jerseys are future for all sports

One had mayo clinic on front and another a casino. Did not see phoenix or minnesota name.

They are doing this because they are strapped for cash.

They're subsidized by the NBA. The WNBA has never made one cent of profit.

Didn't the NBA say they were going to be putting ads on their jerseys soon? Zero chance it happens in the other major sports though, particularly baseball

So many WNBA teams have moved or folded, I assumed that the NBA didn't subsidize them.

Zero chance? The NFL already has ads on practice jerseys. Ads on jerseys in every major sport will happen in your lifetime.

Zero chance was probably too strong. I'm confident we will never see it in baseball though, too many traditionalists and purists for it to get support

There was talk of putting a small sponsor patch on the upper chest area where the NBA logo was.
Not a full-sized ad like on the WNBA jerseys.

It's just a matter of time in basketball. The NFL doesn't have to (game jerseys) but with Goddell as commish I wouldn't be shocked if it unnecessarily happens in the next 10 years. MLB would be the last holdout

MLB does have the Majestic on their sleeves.
And the NFL has pretty big Nike swooshes on their uniforms.

They don't have the Adidas logo anywhere? I thought they were on the shorts right now at least. I'm probably wrong tho.

No NBA logo on the front of the jersey anymore, either. Just on the front of the shorts:

That's it as far as logos on NBA uniforms.

Except for the fact that almost all soccer jerseys have featured sponsorships since the 1980s, when 95% of games weren't televised and teams realized an easy revenue stream. The deals multiplied exponentially once the mega broadcast deals became the norm in the sport.
In essence, its smart business.
