I would understand if it's necessary.

Question is, would he be expected to stay out longer?

I would think they would want to get him some PT before then if he is healthy.

I could see that if he is. I was kinda keeping him with the idea of time is what's needed to get him 100%

If he is healthy, he will play. If not he will not play.

If he's not 100%, then yea obviously you keep him out.

But if he's healthy and ready to go, you play him. He needs game experience, build confidence, get on same page with QB and offense, etc.

You don't want his 1st game as a true freshman to be up against a good SEC D. He needs to work out the the kinks and what not.

Honestly, I didn't even think about him last night.

Dural, Diarse and Quinn looked just fine.

So he's a go asap

Is this a hamstring issue he's had since camp? I haven't heard all the reports on him, I follow him on twitter but I don't get on that too often. Maybe I should.

He's not cracking the starting lineup this season. He's too far behind. Game weeks are not the time to play catchup.

I'll eat a little crow about Diarse. I see why he's been running with the #1's. I didn't think he'd ever be much of a factor at WR. He seemed to run crisp routes and is damn strong and physical. I'd like to see him on some slants, etc because he has to be difficult to corral in traffic. He looked sharp last night.

Even if he's one of the highest recruited WR's out there?

Dude... Dupre was running with the 1s before he got hurt. It was Dural, Dupre, and Diarse early on wth Quinn right behind them. And it's not like Dupre hasn't practiced or anything like that. He has practiced a good bit and he's into the playbook just like Quinn and other true freshman. He's not playing catchup. Valentine is playing catchup. Dupre isn't.

When he gets healthy, Dupre is gonna play and play a lot. He's arguably are most talented WR on the team. He's gonna play a lot.

I was going to say he's a reasonably knowlegable and and able WR.

Nah, if Dupre sits out a year then blossoms as a redshirt freshman and really stars as a redshirt soph, he'll be jumping to the pros, and we'd only get two years out of him. Might as well see him play a full three years.

This would seem like a foolish move if he bolted for the NFL after his RS Soph season.

If he can contribute, play him.

How much did Jarvis Landry play at receiver his freshman year? Landry got hurt in fall camp, and coming from a running high school program just wasn't able to catch up as fast as Beckham, who played in a pass friendly high school program.

Sound familiar in comparing the two freshmen on this year's team?

He's the best WR on our team. He plays ASAP, and he will be an absolute stud as soon as he gets in. We need his size out there too.

I'm going to go ahead and say it...

Dupre isnt going to make an impact this year. He is coming from a veer offense and has a lot to learn. His time will come but we have some really talented ready to go wide outs right now in Dural, Diarse and Quinn.
