Installed Air Bag helper kit

Installed a firestone ride rite air bag kit on my rig yesterday. Overall install went easy, only difficult part was getting the backer plates inside the frame rail to bolt the bracket too other than that piece of cake to install. Took about 2 hrs on the first side and 30 min on the 2nd, 
. Bought a Tee and hooked both bags to one inflation chuck so they will always be level.
Gonna see how much I change pressure and may add a compressor with controls to fill from cab.

Nice. I planned to do it on my last truck for when I was towing my sailboat trailer since it's pretty tongue heavy, then I just decided to buy a new full size truck instead.

How strong is that air hose? Does it come with any shielding to protect it?

I've seen a lot of guys on Tacomaworld install the compressor underneath the cab along the frame or in the engine compartment if they have space.
Then they put the switch in the glove box but I thought one of those air bag companies sold a whole kit for that install.

Yeah, there's space on the truck to install it under the bed. I had a 03 Nissan frontier.
The full compressor kits about triples the price.
The way I saw it, if you are only pulling a load with a single weight every so often then you can probably get away with pumping it up as you need it.

Hose is pretty stout, it comes with two pieces of nylon sheath which I put in places where the hose entered or exited the frame. I'm thinking about getting some more and covering the entire length.
The firestone compressor kit is expensive, found one on amazon for $200 that looks pretty nice and has good reviews.
Put kit on my F150 mainly to help with cyclic bounching when pulling my boat, takes two seconds to fill up with my compressor at my house so will just try manually filling for a while, my just get a cheap bicycle pump to leave in the truck.

SuperFlow tire inflator. Should already have one in your truck.

I had them on my old truck. Super badass. I don't care how much tongue weight you have, you can make it level.

Get a leveler like used on big rigs. Set the height u want and anytime you put a load on the truck it will level out. Of course you will need a compressor and tank but have done it on an older truck I had and it worked great. Never had to take time to inflate or deflate.
