I hate ranking teams this early. A bunch of knee jerk reactions.

Let's wait and see how good the teams they beat are over the next several weeks before we start crowning teams.

Hard to argue against A&M and UGA looking the best out of anyone this weekend.

I can live with that. It's week 1.

To be honest, UGA does have the schedule in its favor. Could be favored in every game except maybe at Mizzou and vs. Auburn.

I'm holding my judgment on A&M. If they get their shite pushed in against LSU again, it becomes obvious that they're just a general mismatch that can't overcome an athletic 4-3. Kinda like Oregon. (This in my book equates Manziel with Dennis Dixon.) But if they win when LSU comes to town, it's a different story. Either way, that's my benchmark for sure. Outside of that, solid top 4, with Auburn in place of A&M for me.

aTm I'll hold judgment on. They surprised the hell out of me and Hill looked great, but we shall see.

I only got to see UGA highlights, but Gurley is the best player in America right now. How was their defense and new QB?

Did you even hear what he said while he was giving those rankings?

Why judge aTm at all then? Season is pretty much over except for SEC-C and Bowl games at that point.

Good question. I pretty much have my mind made up based on LSU's last two wins vs A&M and their loss to Mizzou, however Sumlin may yet surprise by mixing it up with a solid ground attack this year. I'm holding out to see if he can deliver just that against a stout and balanced LSU D.

Next week it'll be the winner of Oregon and Michigan State.

He probably has the first 2 right. Which is good enough for week one.

If you are going to judge based on one week what A&M did was 10x more impressive than UGA. UGA was beating an ACC Clemson team with no playmakers by 3 at home in the 4th quarter. A&M was blew the doors off USCe on the road from the opening drive.

With that said, what UGA did to Clemson in the 4th quarter was dirty.
