With the 53 set we should look at who the candidates are that we waived. Keep in mind we always bring in at least a guy or two from the outside as well.
QB Logan Kilgore
HB Derrick Strozier
HB Timothy Flanders
WR Brandon Coleman
WR Seantavious Jones
WR Charles Hawkins
WR Tobais Palmer
TE Nic Jacobs
TE Je’Ron Hamm
C Matt Armstrong
G Marcel Jones
T/G Jason Weaver
OT Tavon Rooks
OT Manase Foketi
DE Rufus Johnson Jr.
DE George Uko
NT Lawrence Virgil
ILB Todd Davis
ILB Kevin Reddick
OLB Chidera Uzo-Diribe
CB Derrius Brooks
CB Trevin Wade
CB Terrence Frederick
CB Rod Sweeting
S Pierre Warren
K Derek Dimke
An interesting theory that hasn't been brought up is that if Dimke clears waivers we could keep both him(on the PS) and Graham(on the 53) and if Graham struggles we can call up the young guy.
Keep in mind in the past we usually kept:
1 HB
1 FB/TE
1 WR
1 G/C
1 OT
1 DL
1 LB
1 DB
Of course that varied depending on how many players we had at those spots on the 53(like if we had 2 QBs on the 53 we had a PS QB). And there is 2 more spots which will likely go to at least an extra WR or CB.

No Really I think Tuesday we send Lorig and Fortt to IR no matter which one is able to come back.
That leaves us with two open spots, We sign a kicker and resign Warren to the 53.
My prediction.

Strozier
Coleman
Hawkins
Jacobs
Rooks
Rufus
Todd Davis
Brooks
The last two spots can be filled by people we get elsewhere or Virgil, Jones, or one of CB's
Pierre Warren signs Tuesday IMO.

With 3 QBs on the 53 I don't see us keeping one on the PS. It's possible we could keep 2 WRs and/or 2 CBs, and even keep Dimke on there.
Strozier is the clear choice at HB, though they have had some guys that were more impressive released by other teams. Flanders was a very early cut and very unlikely.
While Hawkins did nothing as a WR, he did show he has explosiveness as a return man(something we haven't seen since we had Bush).
If we keep 2 WRs I think one is Hawkins and the other is Coleman or Jones. I give Coleman the edge though neither guy lit it up. Palmer was a very early cut and very unlikely.
Jacobs has looked good enough to get the TE spot. He has size, blocking skill, an talent to work with. Hamm was a very early cut and very unlikely.
I'm guessing they keep Jones as the interior Olineman as I haven't heard jack about Armstrong and Weaver didn't seem too impressive. Jones did get the first teams snaps for Evans after all.
Hard to say who may stay between Rooks and Foketi as neither impressed. Also possible we bring someone in from the outside here. They did like something about Rooks to draft him though so he may have the edge.
Virgil was clearly the best Dlineman out of him, Johnson, and Uko. This is also a spot I can see u bringing in someone from the outside.
Seems like the team liked Davis more than Reddick and I think he gets the nod. Outside chance we bring in an outside guy here. Uzo-Diribe was a very early cut and very unlikely.
My money is on Brooks at CB though the team liked Wade last year and word was Frederick may be the one headed to the PS. Sweeting definitely seems like the odd man out. Again an outside chance we bring in an outside guy here. We could also keep 2 guys here as well.
Warren at safety. Nuff said.
If Dimke doesn't make the 53 he could be put on here, especially with 10 spots instead of 8 now.
My picks(just going by who is here):
Strozier
Hawkins
Jacobs
Jones
Rooks
Virgil
Davis
Brooks
Warren
Dimke
Changing my alternate(if Dimke isn't on here) to Coleman when reconsidering the fact we kept only 5 WRs.

quote:Possible but I don't think Warren will get the call because he doesn't play special teams. I think in that case Davis would be the guy to get the call.
