Pretty bad arse if true. Might lead the way for other transitions in the universe

Not if he wants anywhere close to the equivalent of what he makes in movies.

But I'm not sure if I'd want him to revise the role on Arrow or not. On the one hand it would definitely be a huge get, and he can definitely pull off the character, and they could definitely do a heck of a lot worse (actually they may not be able to get anyone who can do it better). But I've already seen his version of Ra's. I'd kind of like to see another actor's version of Ra's.

Excuse me for being a dumb dumb, but is the Arrow universe the same as the Trilogy universe?

It's all DC so it don't matter?

No, I wouldn't think it would be the same universe as Nolan's. Although the creators of Arrow have stated that they took a lot of cues from Nolan's universe. But I doubt they overtly ties the two universes together.

Keep in mind that Nolan changed the name of the league in his movies to League of Shadows. In arrow they are called the same thing that they are in the comics, the League of Assassins.

The new season starts in October. I imagine they've already filmed the scenes with the new actor.

Kind of sad to see that so many of the actors involved in the DC films and tv shows would be willing to do full on cross overs between the two mediums but we won't get them b/c Nolan was a bitch about closing off his trilogy while Warner flails about trying way too hard to be different than Marvel.

I don't know. I know as of the last interview I read, they hadn't role yet (and they had already started filming the first few episodes). They are pretty loose with that kind of stuff. So I bet once they have it cast, their show runners will leak it themselves, unless they cast a big name like Neeson and want to really shock everyone. But in this day and age, it's almost impossible to keep casting decisions a secret.

That would be awesome, but won't (and shouldn't) happen because the Ra's of the Arrow universe is not the same Ra's as in the Dark Knight Trilogy universe.

Who would you guys like to get the part? No one actor really jumps out to me, but a couple guys I could live with:
Pedro Pascal (Oberyn Martell aka "Red Viper" from GoT)
Shaun Toub (best known as the scientist in Iron Man 1; also did a good job playing a very evil Iranian intelligence officer on Homeland)
Ashraf Barhom (Jamal al-Fayeed on Tyrant; not sure if his commitments to that series would conflict w/ Arrow's production schedule)

The guy that is way on top of my list, but probably won't happen, is Oded Fehr. The guy is the right age, has the right look, and can definitely pull off the character from an acting standpoint.

Pedro Pascal is intriguing, but is he old enough to play Nyssa's father on the show?

ETA: I mean, who wouldn't want this guy playing Ra's al Ghul:

im with yall that it would be cool and a good "get," but i personally wouldnt want him in the role. I would like to see a more traditional Ra's as the league in Arrow is a lot closer to the source material. I just dont think Neeson would really mesh with the show.

I'd love it. It's probably an uncommon opinion, but I thought Liam was one of if not the best performance in that Batman trilogy.

I don't think Arrow/DC are probably pushing for it and odds are already have their guy even if they haven't filmed him yet. Almost wonder though if CW would push for it for ratings.
