For those that have made the trip yesterday or today, are there any areas of concern i.e. Construction?

What shape is the bridge in Beaumont?

TIA

I drive Lake Charles to Beaumont several times a week. Everything should be clear through Beaumont.

We got in last night...no problems at all. Granted, it was at night so there was no traffic. Roads were fine though.

If you leave at 4, there will be a little congestion leaving B.R. With people leaving work but it should be smooth sailing after that (barring accidents).

I drive it all the time coming in for games and there's usually congestion at the bridge in Beaumont (due to construction) heading east on I-10; should only affect you guys returning home Sunday or Monday.

Especially with it being a holiday weekend.

Download WAZE to your phone. It will give you heads up on cops and wrecks.

Suggest you check the Beaumont traffic scene once you cross the Sabine River. If the Neches River bridege is clogged, the best detour takes you way to the south of Beaumont and back into I-10 around Winnie (there is no easy detour).

Never go on any trip without Waze! It has actually saved me several times on the trip to and from Houston

You may get hung up on the I10 bridge in Lake Charles. There are frequent hangups, on the bridge westbound, especially on Friday afternoon/evening.
But other than that you should be clear all the way.

Normally I bypass the Lake Charles loop and go straight thru - my kids are bridge freaks and love that bridge- but I will be taking the loop tonight.

what time will you be driving through here? Bridge in Beaumont won't hinder you much. Just stay in the left and middle lane once in beaumont because the 69 curve gets backed up at rush hour.

Waive hi to me at the hospital as you come around the curve. That's where i work
