Draft advice please - 0.5PPR - and 2 defensive starters

Ok so I am doing a money league and they just went all crazy and decided to make it with 0.5PPR, 2 defensive players, there are bonus points for long touchdown passes and receptions and runs as well.
Any advice going into the draft next week. I've only ever done standard scoring. When should I try and get a defensive player? Are receivers a bigger premium than RB's now?

Wait on a defensive player at least until the 8th or 9th round. They're so many and you only need 24 for the entire league.
I'd target Keuchley and Lavonte David. One guy you can target real late is jerrell Freeman at Lb.

Late. There are a ton of defensive players and only 24 are getting drafted.

That works,
I was also just informed that this is an 8 person league, so make that 16 defensive players starting.
I didn't know 8 team leagues existed. Starting to regret agreeing to this thing.
