Poll

"The poll, from Suffolk University and USA Today, finds Romney with a more than 25-point advantage over his closest Republican competitor, Mike Huckabee in the crucial primary state. A bit more than 35% of Iowa Republicans say he'd be their first choice if he entered the field in Iowa, which holds the first-in-the-nation presidential caucuses. "

If I am still living here in Iowa in 2016 I will go to the caucuses to do my part to prevent Romney or any other establishment stooge from winning

Basically. Just have Soros and Adelson buy everyone in America a scratch off ticket and call it a day.

Ready for Hillary!

Iowa is being converted to a right wing, lunatic fringe society.

Correction, Rand would dominate in Iowa. Everyone I've talked to about 2016 wants rand as the nominee. Romney is not the answer for the republican party.

I think Romney would make a fantastic president, but I don't think he has the personality to run a campaign that can win.

I'd like to see Rand get the nomination.

Romney would be a great President.

I wonder how strategic Rand would be on foreign affairs?

Would he do anything really different than Obama because by all accounts Obama has pulled the US back from the front of the world stage. I'm not asking Rand to go to war but what's his red lines and strategy for Islamic terror and Russia?

Because if all he wants to do is reduce military and leave the world to deal with ISIS and Russia then I can't support him. He is going to need to give us his vision or doctrine on foreign affairs.

there is a lot of truth to that. All of the young people are fleeing iowa for Denver, chicago, and texas.

All that is left is the old people, and farmers.

We did have good friends that just move back for family reasons (retarded child, old parents). They say its boring, nothing to do and they don't see particularly happy.

Around the last election, an Iowa Journalism Professor - who was visiting at UM in Ann Arbor at the time - published a scathing piece in The Atlantic discussing the social landscape of Iowa. Interesting look at the most valuable Iowan export, educated labor for a knowledge-based economy.

Home of that nut Bachman and the even bigger loony tone Steve King.

Rand has his head up his butt re foreign policy and AI will love to see him fight it out with the neo cons who want to bomb everywhere. The reps can kill each other off again.

Romney would be dominating the Oval Office and we'd be a lot better off right now ... if people weren't so stupid.
