My father passed a few years back and his handguns have been sitting in my closet since. I already have 2 others, so I wasn't really interested in keeping them. I've seen people say not to take them to a pawn shop, but I don't know if I want to deal with the hassle of listing them somewhere and having to meet people. Can anyone help with an approximate value of these, and would it be worth it to list somewhere or just take to pawn shop? Appreciate the help.

you deserve to be kicked in the balls if you sell any of your dad's guns.

I liked the gun but it was a badge of shame I could no longer wear.

Would I get completely hosed taking them to a pawn shop? I happily get rid of them to someone on here, I just need to know a fair price.

I wouldn't want to screw you over. I wonder how good of quality that Tomcat is, though. I see online that they used to have frame-crack issues. I don't know how old the one you have is. Brand new, the gun costs $398.

Maybe someone will chime in.

ETA: And, to answer your question, most pawn shops will screw you over. They want to increase their profit margins as much as possible.

Yes - take them to a gun shop that accepts trades and buys used guns, you will do much better than a pawn shop and could use the trade money towards something you want.

Don't do this. You could probably double your money by selling them yourself.

My buddy bought one before he knew much about guns. Built a small slightly interesting collection up over a few years. Someone robbed him and his sigma was the only gun in the house left untouched.

What model is the S&W revolver? 2nd picture.

The S&W 9mm is looking around $250 give or take in the Gun Traders Guide. The Revolver is probably gonna be the most valuable pistol, imo.

Also curious what model the other S&W revolver is..4th picture down. Is that stainless or nickel?

You can find the model # inside the recess when you open the cylinder.
