12 team, no ppr, first pick. 2RB+2WR+TE+Flex:

Went Shady, Leveon, A. Foster with my first 3 picks.

Had several guys I was excited about damn near fall to me in Rd4/5, but they all got scooped. I wound up going Roddy White/Cordarelle Patterson there and adding Welker, Cooks and Hartline later as depth.

QB is Cam and Ertz as TE.

you are more screwed at QB than WR. I would never have taken Foster over any of the WR's that were available to you in rd 3. With that said, White will be good. Patterson is all hype, but the hype fails to mention that he has nobody good to throw him the ball. All in all I think your WR's are solid, but you need to do something about that QB. Tannehill will be better than Fig Newton

Actually did pretty good for a 12 team. Surprised you got both White and Patterson. Adding Cooks was huge, too. Just have to hope Foster and White both stay healthy. But yea, not a fan of Cam this season at all. And I'm iffy on all this Ertz hype also.

Cam is coming off ankle surgery, currently has a cracked rib, and has no one to throw to except Olsen.

I'm in the same boat. Went Charles, Foster, Gronk. Ended up with White, Patterson, Cooks, Hunter, Benjamin and Landry

My QB is Tom Terrific

Some IFs but definitely attainable. If Roddy is healthy he's capable of borderline WR1 numbers. Cordarelle has the potential of high end WR2 numbers but the QB play is iffy.

You are fine at WR. I really like Roddy and Patterson could be better than a WR2.

Maybe try to deal Cam and Ertz for a cheaper QB like Rivers or Romo and replace Ertz with safer points in Witten.

I had second pick in 12 team .5 ppr. Took Charles, Ellington, and Bush with my top three. Took Desean and Crabtree in the forth and fifth. Picked up Hunter, Sanders and Jennings as my other Wrs.

Not too worried about cam, except for injuries, his wrs are probably better than last years.

Don't really disagree. Brady got snaked in front of me in Rd6, and I picked up Cam in Rd8. Then my plan was to grab Rivers for depth and he got snaked in Rd11 by someone who already had Brees (thought I was safe). Have a bid in for Tannehill.

Yeah that's the suck when that happens. Tannehill will be the guy that nobody wants or thinks of who will be good enough to keep you winning some games. He may not be consistently high output, but I think he will surprise a lot of people this year. I like him better than Cam personally.

I went AP, Stacy, Gronk, and at some point I picked up Roddy White and Golden Tate as receivers. My QB's are Cam and Kap so hoping I get lucky and they alternate playing shitty defenses.

More worried about Cam and TE than I would be about WRs

I went with somewhat the same strategy because the drop off from RB was too great (went Charles, Foster, Martin) and picked up CruZ, Crabtree and Harvin as my main WRs

Took Luck as my QB who I had ranked among the best after the big 3 (Brees, Rodgers, Manning) and grabbed Rudloph as my TE (Norv Turner breakout year)

Have Eiifert as TE 2, but will probably be looking for waiver wire TE as well. I know I'm week at QB/TE, but figure I can make a run with decent production from WR (assuming backs stay healthy). My bench RBs are Ivory and Hill cause I'm a homer (seriously though, both seem to be putting some pressure on the starters).

I was in this camp for a little bit, but he's looking more and more like the ideal fit for what Norv is going to do. Matt Cassell is far from great, but I'd say he's better than Hoyer/Weeden/Campbell and those guys were good enough to help Josh Gordon put up MVP like numbers. There's also this guy named Adrian Peterson who should help keep defenses honest, Patterson is primed to have a big year.

Do you realize Patterson and Gordon have the same traits and Gordon led the nfl in receiving with the worst starting QB's last year? Not to mention Gordon's OC is now Patterson's OC.

I am all in on Patterson too. Absurd natural talent with the ball in his hands. Would have had a much bigger year statistically if Musgrave actually tried to scheme the ball to him earlier in the year.

Norv Turner will get Patterson open and hopefully still give him some rushes. He is going to score. In a non-ppr like the OP's league, he is going to be very good.

Lots of players have similar traits. That does not make them the same players though. Patterson certainly can be good, but to ignore the qb situation is folly. Gordon had shown he is legit leading into last season, so he was worth drafting. Patterson has little to no track record. I would love to have him as my 3rd WR drafted in the 5-6 rd range, but to take him in the 3-4, which is where he is going, is forcing him to be your #1 WR depending how you draft. That's way too much risk, thus me saying he is overhyped.
