Some little punks just tried to steal my kayak out of the back of my truck!
How would you handle it if you catch them in the act?

If I could sneak up on them, I'd grab ahold of one for sure. If the others tried to help him, then it would get nasty.

Nothing worse than a dirty damn thief. One of the things I like most about LP is the lack of crime. The only thing that you really have to worry about is a tweaker roaming around picking up things that aren't locked down. That said, get a cable lock for your kayak. That's what I use when I keep them in back of my truck.
Another option is to get a PA14, it's so damn heavy that they won't be able to steal it.... And pedal > paddle.

Shoot to kill or don't shoot at all. Also, I'm not sure what type of kayak you have but its probably not worth shooting someone over.
