Looking back on Hip Hop this summer

As summer comes to an end lets look back and see what these past 3 months brought us. There's a lot of hype about upcoming Fall and Spring releases so a lot of summer gems were overlooked. Let's take a second and appreciate what appeared this summer.
2014 Best Song of the Summer
Bobby Shurmda - Hot ****
Yes you read that right, Bobby Shmurda. Bobby, releasing the song 5 months ago, somewhat became an overnight YouTube sensation with his new hit. Tallying over 11 million views, this song is being remixed by nearly every big named artist and has been the hottest song in the streets the past couple of months. Bobby, bringing the swag back to NY, signed a $1M deal from this song alone and hopefully we get more heat from him in the near future.

Young Thug & Rich Homie Quan - Lifestyle

2014 Worst Song of the Summer:
Lil Wayne - Krazy
Sorry Wayne, you're my G.O.A.T. but man this song was bad. From the beat choice to the delivery, down to the repetitive and predictable lyrics. Yes the last verse was decent, but the rest of the song is so bad you can't even make it that far. What's even more disappointing is the hype around this as the single for Carter V. This is the only bad one he's ever had and for that reason I have to hand him this L.

Nicki Minaj - Anaconda
Iggy Azalea - Black Widow
2014 Most Slept on Song of the Summer:
T.I. - About the Money ft. Young Thug The legend T.I. collabs with up and coming artist Young Thug to deliver this underrated masterpiece. T.I. delivers nice verses as usual, but what puts this song over the top is future superstar Young Thug. His flow, delivery, and wordplay are top notch on this song and rival that of some of the top artists out there today.

Lil Boosie - Crazy
Big K.R.I.T. - Mt. Olympus
Mike Will Made It - Buy The World ft. Future, Lil Wayne, & Kendrick Lamar

The only thing I really disagree with is "No Flex Zone". I'm a pretty big fan of it for what it is.
Good call on Buy The World, About The Money, and Mt. Olympus. Such underrated heaters.
