This. We won't collapse, we may turn inward and take a more isolationist stance which would be disastrous for the rest of the world but ultimately better for us long term.

I am 26 and I am fairly certain I will witness it. Pisses me off to think all the money and time spent in schooling and the time I will spend working will all prob go to shite in the future. Seriously thinking about getting dual citizenship and possible moving out of the country in the next 5-10 years if things continue the way they have.

some arshole dictator is going to try to take over the world. would bet you anything that will happen as soon as uncle sam isn't around to keep the (relative) peace in the world. Lord willing, we'll all be gone for that day

Yep. It took Rome 400 years to go up then down. I think we are a bit ahead of their schedule.
