They aren't much bigger than our OL.

And we have a 300 lb TE too.

They are a very solid OL group, but I keep seeing people referencing them as being monster sized compared to other groups. They really aren't.

Wisconsin:

OT - 6'5", 321
OG - 6'6", 321
C - 6'3", 311
OG - 6'5", 319
OT - 6'8", 333
TE - 6'4", 244

Average without TE: 6'5.4", 321 lbs

LSU:

OT - 6'5", 321
OG - 6'6", 340
C - 6'7", 301 (Ethan Pocic subbed in)
OG - 6'6", 330
OT - 6'6", 309
TE - 6'5", 295

Average without TE: 6'6", 320.2

Oh and to respond to this part of your post:

Alabama:

OT - 6'6", 323 (Cam Robinson )
OG - 6'5", 315
C - 6'5", 296
OG - 6'5", 325
OT - 6'5", 320
TE - 6'6", 240 (OJ Howard not Vogler who's bigger)

Average without TE: 6'5.2", 315.8 lbs.

Our DLine better step up. It will be a good early test. If we can handle Wisconsin, we'll be ready later against the lines of Alabama, Miss. St., Arkansas, and others who are also huge.

All that is fine guys and we know our OL's are working too, but this group and the two RB's are the best position groups they have. Wisconsin has more OL's in the NFL than we do, not that it matters, but some of you are giving them no props for what they do well.

I think we win, but some of you are complete homers.

They are very good at OL and RB. Probably the best we'll see all year at both, outside of Bama's RB depth. Melvin Gordon is elite and the OL is extremely disciplined and experienced.

People need to stop saying how big they are though. I have heard this SOOO many times on TV, various message boards, etc. They are good from coaching and discipline, not from size.

Also, our OL is just as big and just as experienced. They haven't been as well-coached in recent years, but the talent is there. Hopefully there is a noticeable difference with Grimes and I believe there will be judging from practice reports and player quotes about his coaching style.

Wisconsin Schedule 2013 LINK

No D-line even comes close to LSU's from what they saw last year. Ohio St. and South Carolina are the only ones in the same area code and they whipped up on the Badgers.

We'll see. I'm confident. 45-3 LSU

Melvin Gordon rushed for 140+ on the Cocks.

Granted, they weren't a top 50 rush defense.

one thing to watch is the tackling of the linebackers and db's. Wisconsin is going to open some holes. The test will be can the 2nd level bring down the back or will they bust a few long ones. Tackling is usually an issue early in the season due to the lack of much live tackling in practice.

I agree. This and containment.

If we don't allow M Gordon to bounce outside we'll win. He is DEADLY when he gets out wide in space. Like a Jamal Charles type, can absolutely fly.

Contain him in the box, make 2nd level tackles. The guy averaged like 8 YPC last year I think FYI, he's a legit Heisman candidate especially with their weak schedule.

Throw Pocic (sp?) in at Center, and that avg for LSU goes up. As much pub as Wisc.'s Oline gets (and it's well deserved), LSU is putting a group of monsters on the field Sat.

Good call. Fixed and I added Bama for comparison considering they and Wisky always have big, strong lines.

A significant number are of our past OL in the NFL...does speed not matter or exist in the NFL?
