Let me start of by saying this is based off of 2013 stats.

Wiscinson played Five Top 50 Rush Defenses in 2013 and won one of those games,(Iowa) averaging 187ypg, almost 100ypg short of their season average.

LSU played Eight Top 50 Rushing Offenses in 2013 and won six of these (lost to Bama and OM)giving up and average of 148ypg in these 8 games holding teams to an average of 60ypg short of their season average.

EXTRA: Miss St was the only team with more rushing yards than their season average (+27) AND UAB was just shy of breaking the top 50 Rushing teams at #52

I sure hope this translates to Saturdays game!

I see two things taking place. We will give up a few more yards (on the ground) in the 1st and 4th quarter. But, it will be less than their average, and we will come out with a W..... :geauxtigers:

From what I have read, they dont have much of down field threat, but when you have 2 tall 4.4 CB's, who will? But that should leave the LBs to help with the Run

Wisc averages 130 yards rushing against ranked teams. Bring on the badgers.

I think the key to this game is the fact that White and Robinson improved so much over the course of last season that they will be able to lock down the WRs and we can effectively load the LOS. I expect Wisky to move the ball relatively well, but struggle finishing off long drives and will settle for FGs. I expect our O will have enough success on the ground and enough diversity in the play calling and especially play action to score TDs vs FGs. This will ultimately make the difference and LSU will pull out a hard fought win. Look for 1-2 really big plays from the TE position.

I expect some plays from TE and FB too. I see this ending alot like Miss St last year, good, close game until the 4th, we pull ahead and the score looks worse than the game was.

I was slightly (very slightly) nervous before the Oregon game, but not this one.
Everything I've read about wisky tells me they won't be able to slow down LSU's offense, LSU just has too many weapons-- as opposed to their duo running backs and not much else.

Wisconsin Rushing Attack vs LSU's Defense

Everything points to this being the key to the game.

The problem with the rush defense last year wasn't the average per rush, it was the 15 TD's scored. That is the stat they will have to correct.

That being said, everyone claims that the Wisconsin running attack is a perimeter and misdirection game. This would bode well for a fast defense with a young line, fast experienced linebackers and a dominating secondary.
