A few of my buddies and I are going on a deer & elk hunt in a few weeks, and I am trying to stock up on Boston Butt before we leave.

The cheapest price that I have seen it advertised is $1.29/LB, but I was hoping to get a better price if we bought in bulk quantity.

Any suggestions on where I can get a better price in the BTR/Denham Springs area?

TIA

Call Choctaw Provisions. They'll probably sell you a case.

I needed some to mix with some wild pork a few months ago, and $1.29 is about as low as I found it.

Thanks. I will give them a call.

Once again, this is why I love the OB.

I used to get frozen boneless chicken thighs there too for pretty cheap as well.

FYI Just gave Choctaw Provisions a call- their current price is $1.92/LB. Hopefully one of the local stores will put them on sell before the season begins.

If anyone sees them on sell, I would appreciate the call...

Ive been watching them for the last few months, and I havent found them for less than $1.75. I know beef is at an all time high right now due to the extreme winter, so pork would probably mirror that.

Prices are going up because of virus related mass kills in the past few months. LINK

Porcine Epidemic Diarrhea. It is wiping out piglets in the pork industry. There is a lot of concern over it from USDA and every pork producing state. Highly contagious and high mortality rate .
