Bout to reload if you ask me. We have 2 outstanding ones committed for 2015 - plus RR and TW will be going into their junior years. We'll be stacked.

I think Donte Jackson should be it. I know we are looking at 4-5 really good ones next year that we a realistically able to get.

Raymond and Jackson are it though in addition to Toliver and Lewis.

Seems like we are after more than we really need but we cannot pass up the talent that we are in on. Id be content with donte and tolliver.

I would like to see LSU putting in the same effort with DTs and DEs. That seems like a much larger need but yet all I hear about is corners and safeties. I bet they're putting in the effort but not hearing much.

I just wouldn't want to 'spook' the 2 really good ones we have committed by going after too many other 2015 CBs.. Right now they see RR and TW on the field and feel they can compete with the others 2014 guys who we brought in last year.. but going after too many in 2015 may backfire (hope not though)

Personally, I like Donte Jackson just as much as Marshall and McFadden. I trust the staff's ability to evaluate defensive backs.

Marshall is on another level than Jackson right now, let's not get carried away.

Jackson's return skills differentiate him from some of the top CB's in this class. For that reason, I like him just as much as Marshall. I realize Marshall's a better pure DB at this point.

I realize this is a CB thread, but just to hijack a moment...

We also seem to have an unusual amount of 6'4"-6'5" 200lbs-210lbs WR interested in LSU for 2015. Plus we have a QB for 2016 that is not a prototypical LSU QB. We have rarely had a top ranked QB come to LSU. I think with Cam Cameron here he is attracting QB's and of course WR's to go with those QB's.

Thanks,

Will be To liver and Jackson as pure CBs and Lewis/Raymond as hybrid CB/S/Nickel guys. Not as simple as CB/S only in recruiting anymore especially here. We are looking for specific Nickel guys and CB/S hybrids. The spread out offenses will have everyone doing it soon enough. I liken it to the different relief pitcher roles in MLB now. There's a guy for every situation specifically on the roster for that role. Its like fricking science now.

Also think we are reloading and needed to. 16 will finish it off for the current cycle of db recruits that will carry us for 3-5 years. Land 3 of Broussard, Fulton, Carter, Williams,Mullen and whoever else jumps on the board and we are straight. Then factor 2-3 of Monroe, Anderson,Perry etc of the S and even better

Donte Jackson is absolutely killing it so far this season. I think he will be pushing 5-star status at the end of the season

Also read the staff are bringing in Cutrer to play corner instead of safety.

I heard this too. Honestly, I like it. Would be awesome to finish this CB haul with Jackson and Raymond then call it a day.

He is priority No. 1 right now...the other guys listed would just be gravy, but we absolutely have to land Donte.

If we get Marshall to leave out west to come here would that make jackson and Raymond reconsider?

Might be worth it though. I think Marshall is one of the best cover guys I have seen in a while.
