How in the hell has the NFL not finalized a decision on Josh Gordon?

Absurd how long this has taken.

I'm left to decide between keeping Gordon or Luck in one of my leagues.

Shouldn't even be a question no matter what the NFL does, IMO. Minimum he's going to get is 4 games. Keep Luck. Draft Gordon between rounds 8-10.

Leads me to believe Gordon is going to play this year.

Would love to see this roster where you have to drop Andrew Luck.

I'm sure he's talking about a keeper league.

I'm a believer, keep Gordon! He will at least be back next year if it's a keeper league. It will probably still payoff in the long run.

ESPN

quote:

Spin: One theory as to why the appeal is dragging on for so long was offered by Dawg Pound Nation, a Browns blog, speculating it may be due to the arbitrator stalling to give the NFL time to settle with Gordon's legal team. If Gordon's team is confident in its chances, it could have refused to settle thus far, putting the NFL in a tough spot. Because the arbitrator must make an all-or-nothing ruling, the NFL risks getting no suspension if it doesn't settle, and even a 16-team suspension is probably not optimal from a public relations standpoint given Ray Rice's two-game suspension for a much more serious offense. Moreover, even if Gordon loses, he might have grounds to sue the NFL in the state of Ohio to stop the enforcement of the suspension. In which case, it would make sense for the NFL to seek a settlement, Gordon's camp not to settle for more than a very short, if any, suspension, and for the case to drag out as a result. Of course, no matter how logical, it's only a theory, and until we have a verdict, drafters will have to speculate on Gordon's availability.

It makes sense. Why else would they take this long?

PPR keeper league, we are required to keep 3 players, no penalty. You can have a player on the roster for a maximum of 3 consecutive years.

For sure keepers:

J. Charles
Julio

Have to decide between Gordon and Luck for that final spot.

Neither. You should go ahead and lock up the number 1 defense from last year and keep KC. Good luck!

I wondered who the first person from this league would be to post in here.

How many teams in the league, and how many are you assuming will keep qbs? That would definitely play into my decision.

12 team league.

And good point on glancing at other manager's keepers.

I just have a hard time drafting Luck in the 3rd round which is essentially what this pick will be.
