Check the Top 100 list John. Eastbay All American, Team USA MVP, several other All American teams, 210 LB, never made less than all A's,gifted classes. 24 or 25 on ACT already (before 9th grade). Several All American games. If you're gonna post in the LSU Recruiting section maybe you should do some research. By the way, he and I both live in West Monroe but I've never even met the kid but I have seen him play and I can read, John,

I think its you that needs to post a little more info before you call someone out for not knowing who a freshman in HS is. No profile links?

What's wrong with you? Relax, it is a common joke when someone comes on here touting a FRESHMAN in high school (whos name isn't Moses), they are immediately teased as being the players dad.

You want answers but you spout off to others to "google" his name. YOU google it, YOU give the info, and someone who may know will then respond.

It's all good, a little humor is good here.

edit: Is he really a freshman who has never played in a high school game? And you want updates?

He's been a top 50 player or so on these lists since 7th grade. He's an outstanding linebacker and will be a future stud. That being said, WM's LBers are extremely deep and the strength of the team this year. I don't see him getting on the field. He will be a 3 year starter though and a highly recruited player. I've watched him play since he was 9. I never fully appreciated how good he was because we always beat him. After watching him in the FBU tournaments the past two years as well as the way he shined in the Eastbay All American game this past year, the kid is legit. He takes over games. I look forward to watching him play the next 4 years.

I've seen pics of him at a lot of different schools. LSU, Bama, Ohio State, Florida, etc. He goes to a ton of camps. FBU, NUC, LSU, Rivals I believe.

With his grades he can pretty much go anywhere on an academic scholarship & free up football one.

I'm pretty sure if someone plays football, even if on another scholly, it counts against the football #s.....not positive though, maybe others could shed light.

15.5.1.1 Football or Basketball, Varsity Competition. In football or basketball, a student-athlete who was recruited (see Bylaw 15.02.8) by the awarding institution and who receives institutional financial aid (as set forth in Bylaw 15.02.4.2) granted without regard in any degree to athletics ability does not have to be counted until the student-athlete engages in varsity intercollegiate competition (as opposed to freshman, B-team, subvarsity, intramural or club competition) in those sports. (Revised: 1/16/93 effective 8/1/93, 1/11/94, 6/20/04, 1/15/11 effective 8/1/11, 1/18/14 effective 8/1/14)

15.5.1.1.1 Exception—Receipt of Institutional Academic Aid Only. In football or basketball, a student-athlete who was recruited (see Bylaw 15.02.8) by the awarding institution and whose only source of institutional financial aid is academic aid based solely on the recipient’s academic record at the certifying institution, awarded independently of athletics interests and in amounts consistent with the pattern of all such awards made by the institution, may compete without counting in the institution’s financial aid team limits, provided he or she has completed at least one academic year of full-time enrollment at the certifying institution and has achieved a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.000 (on a 4.000 scale) at the certifying institution. (Adopted: 10/27/05 effective 8/1/06, Revised: 1/15/11 effective 8/1/11)

He can apparently, but it looks like he would have to red shirt and meet the academic requirements. Also means he can have no other aid.

Not meant to flame, but making all A's and doing well on an ACT before a kid gets to high school only indicates the kid will likely get some partial academic scholarship. Receiving a full academic scholarship (and receive housing benefits, dining, etc similar to an athletic scholly) is hard to do at the undergrad level because he's competing with people overseas who have worked all their lives for an opportunity to come to the U.S. (I worked at LSU on the academic side of things FWIW). Just giving you info, not meant to flame. All that being said, sounds like the kid has a lot going for him as an athlete and student

All I said was, "I never heard of you John". Don't get your feelings hurt so easy son. I wasn't aware that if you post here that you have to research first. Thanks for the lesson Mrs Willie.

Don't worry about it. After the shite Kirk Merritts dad has pulled trying to get his son noticed by LSU on this board to only say F LSU when LSU says they want him makes me weary of any person trying to push a player.

I do appreciate being called "son".
At my age (63) that doesn't happen much.
