Pre hunting season honey do list

I've got to fix the board on her trolling motor and put a new chair in her stand.

Oh and she wants a new blade on her stick edger and sharpen her mower blades.

Man it's good to be single.

Got all the calls tuned up.
Got the dog lined out and back on his game.
Got the guns cleaned and oiled up.
Rode down the other day to put some pressure on the farmer.
Prolly gunna go clear out the blind and make sure it's in good shape when I get home this time.

I just do the normal crap that I always do. When the season rolls around, the ole lady is smart enough to know that the kids beg to go to the woods with me.

And I'm smart enough to let them tag along every damn time that it's possible.

Having said that, the years with toddlers was a rough run.

I'm single but I sorta have my own list. Tis a great feeling to sit in the stand knowing all your work is behind you.

I had a list a mile long posted on the refridgerator it seemed like. We stayed home this past weekend instead of going down to the lake because the wife said it was going to be "too hot"

Saturday rolls around and she wants to go to the pool - I point to "The List" and say, sure! as soon as I get "The List" done.

Finished it up Sunday morning and headed to the deer camp to fill feeders and check cameras.

Nope. I do my shite on windy weekends during summer.

Then I hunt. Ya'll must have been some pussies in the butt sniffing stages of dating.

I've been home exactly two weekends counting this one since before Memorial Day. Stuff starts to pile up some.
