So where would you put Alabama?

It's kind of embarrassing they even mentioned that beer.

I wouldn't put Mississippi last. Maybe not a tom of breweries, but some really solid stuff being brewed on the Landmass.

I have a friend from Minnesota that craves purple haze. When he visits he brings various surly beers and I get him purple haze.

Pretty fair trade.

I don't think the guys who did the rankings are very knowledgeable.

Their ranking of SC doesn't make sense.

Looks like he nailed Oregon. I like to see him mention all the small breweries and not just the big boys. The small, local breweries are putting out some great stuff.

Funny that they put NC high on the list, then list 4-5 mediocre breweries and a bottle shop in Raliegh as examples, while leaving off all of the great brewpubs/bars in Asheville (Wicked Weed, Thirsty Monk) and quality breweries like NODA off the list.

Some questionable rankings.

SC and FL are too far back.
MS doesn't deserve dead last, but close. They'll level up here soon though.

Sam's is in Durham and it is amazing. Don't you talk shite about the store that introduced me to beer!

Most states received a pretty poor representation. Honestly Westbrook alone should be enough to push SC much higher.

Coast and Holy City are on Westbrook's level, but barely anyone outside of the state knows about them it seems like. Their beers barely get distributed to the Upstate while Westbrook is able to push their product much farther.

I know of Holy City, but I've never had the privilege.

Maine and NY are too high.

Don't agree with the order but the top 10-15 listed are worthy.

Alabama has much better breweries than Louisiana. To argue otherwise just shows how stupid you are

It would be difficult for me to put them in order, but I think my top 6 would be the same.

I like that they considered population size... Only fair to states like Vermont and Oregon.
