Jennings 1st half vs. Iowa

I just watched the first half of the Iowa because I wanted to see how Jennings really played, rather than just going on memory. I know he struggled in the second half (haven't watched it yet) but he was actually quite solid in the first half.
It's hard to grade when I don't know all of the reads and progressions but he had 15 gradeable plays (I obviously didn't chart if he made corrects checks in and out of runs because I don't know what they are) but of those 15, I charted 10+s, two neutrals, and 3 "negative plays." Of the negative plays, two were overthrows. He really only completely missed one throw, a well designed option pass to Connor Neighbors that he threw behind him.
I thought in all he showed good poise. There were a couple of times when I thought he held on to the ball too long but a few sacks were jailbreaks, but he also threw the ball out of bounds several times to avoid sacks.
I also forgot just how dominant the defense and special teams were in the first half. The half was completely dominated by LSU.
I'll do the second half tomorrow but Jennings was, while certainly not spectacular, very solid in the first half. Cam also played it very close to the vest.

I went to the end of the game and saw Jenning about to kneel the ball on 4th down.

That 3rd down "amoeba" defense that Iowa played was very hard for Jennings to play against. Iowa did what they had to do to make the freshman QB look like.. well a freshman, but they couldn't stop Hill from going into absolute Hercules Beast Mode on them.

They dont like when you post stats. It destroys the false narrative.

I love how people here tried to act like LSU didn't lose track of the downs at the end of the game.

You mean a freshman had trouble in a BOWL game? Is this the same FRESHMAN that took the ball on the one yard line and shoved it down arky's throat to win the game? Yeah, he's horrible

And please don't say the final controlled scrimmage in the spring.

Jennings will throw 3 TD's against Wisconsin.

Not one pass on the first drive which ended in 7 points courtesy of Jennings and Hill.
Not sure why we're worried about Wisconsin.
It'll be a matter of who can make more stops. The LSU defense is going to be much more stout than Wisconsin's.
If dumb penalties and turnovers are kept to a minimum it'll be a rout.

You mean how they show Les looking at the clock, talking to ref, about to call timeout? Then he notices that Jennings is about to snap the ball and flips out?
