Cares more about money? The spender or spendee?

Sick and tired of the ol' lady telling me all I care about is money when all she does is want to freely over spend money on either material wastes or impulse b.s. and I don't think it's a good idea.
So that leads me to ask the OT...who cares more about money? The one that doesn't need it and saves or the one that needs it to buy a bunch of junk or gets in debt to keep up with the Joneses?

Congrats on the upcoming couple's therapy.

If you don't have kids, mortgage yourself up to your eyelids. Who cares? Go for broke. Hookers, blow, fast cars, the works.

You shouldn't beat your wife, baby.

The one who feels they have the least at that moment.

Separate checking accounts. One for bills and one for her to play with. When her money is gone, she'll have to wait until the next payday.

The one who earns the money cares the most.

I know a gal who has a son who is a fatass. He will eat a whole jar of pickles at a time.
And once the jar of pickles is empty, guess what? A new jar appears the next day. And the little fricker eats the whole jar again.
If she only went to the grocery store once a week, the kid would have to wait until the end of the week to get a new jar, and guess what? He would start to value the pickles he has in the jar.
As long as there's money to spend, there will be no value placed on money. Restrict the flow and bring order to your house.

At least he is eating his vegetables.

I found this utterly hilarious

Good point, Esquire.
Without that fiber, kid would probably shite once a month.
*shudders at the thought*

The person who earns it cares. The others think they are getting free shite.

This is a good strategy. It's what we do to the peasants of the world. Seems to work well.

Get this shite fixed or you are heading for divorce and/or bankruptcy. Introduce her to the Dave Ramsey classes. Work out a budget and a spending plan. Agree to goals. You can't force a change on someone like this, but if you are lucky you can get her to understand on her own and begin to make the changes.

That's probably a good thing. If the guy's snack food of choice wasn't a 10 calorie pickle he probably wouldn't be able to walk through a door.
