Show me the MONEY!

quote:

"Patrick Peterson signed a five-year, $70 million contract extension on July 29, with a signing bonus of $15,361,000. The bonus came in a lump-sum check, not direct-deposited.

"He has not cashed the bonus check yet.

"He told me, 'I just haven’t gotten around to it.'"

Why in the hell would someone CASH a 15 million dollar check? Sounds like a wise move having that much cash just lying around your house.

Then they turn around and loan it for much higher rate. Must be fun to do nothing but play and distribute other peoples money.

Cap 1 has a .75% savings for the first year. Would get him a cool $115k if he left it in there.
